MINIMUM EDUCATIONAL QUALIFICATIONS:
A. Category–I Graduate Technician (Diploma) Apprentices:-
• A degree in engineering or technology granted by statutory University.
• A degree in engineering or technology granted by an Institutions empowered to grant such degrees by an Act of Parliament.
• A Diploma in Engineering or technology granted by a State Council or Board of Technical Education established by a State Government in relevant discipline.
• A Diploma in Engineering or Technology granted by a University in relevant discipline.
III. AGE:
Age limit will be followed as per Apprenticeship Rules.
IV. RESERVATIONOFVACANCIES:
Guidelines under Apprentices Act on Reservation for SC/ST/OBC/PWD will be followed. Who are claiming reservation under SC/ST/OBC/PWD shall provide certificate as per Government standard format, failed which their claim for reservation will be considered as ‘General’ category only. If BC candidates claiming OBC category, they should bring OBC certificate as per the Govt. prescribed (OBC) format from the certificate issuing authority of Tahsildar.
V. MINIMUMPHYSICALSTANDARDS:
As prescribed in Clause 4 of the Apprenticeship Rule 1992, and amendments thereof if any.
III. DURATIONOFTRAINING:
The duration of Apprenticeship training will be for a period of one year as per Apprentices (Amendment) Act1973.
IV. PREVIOUSTRAINING/EXPERIENCE:
Candidates who have already undergone or are currently undergoing apprenticeship under Apprentices (Amendment) Act 1973, and/or having one year or more experience are not eligible to apply.
V. SELECTIONPROCEDURE:
The overall provisional rank list based on merit will be shared to Hindustan Shipyard Limited after the cutoff date. Certificate verification can be done by Hindustan Shipyard Limited Visakhapatnam. BoAT (SR) will coordinate virtually from this office whole day to assist on the day of verification.
PROCEDURE FOR REGISTRATION AND SUBMISSION OF APPLICATION:

XTRAVEL EXPENSES: No TA / DA will be paid for attending certificate verification XIBOARDING/LODGING: No boarding or lodging expenses are admissible
XII. Upon completion of the Apprenticeship period, Hindustan Shipyard Limited, Visakhapatnam, Andhra Pradesh., shall have no obligation to offer employment to such apprentices or can an apprentice claim right for employment on the grounds of completion of Apprenticeship.
